Latin 2H (Period 3): Today, we continued our review of Latin grammar. It has been a bit scattered so far, as we are trying to build a background and get back into the swing of things. The big takeaways you should have are: The 5 Latin cases and what they do; parts of speech in Latin/English; the forms of the verb "esse" ("to be"); and Latin verb endings (-m/o, -s, -t, -mus, -tis, -nt). Homework: 1) Keep reviewing on your own. We will be going over some of the homework assignments next week to make sure you understand. 2) Work through the review packet I gave you in class today-- it will serve as a very useful guide moving forward. 3) Start studying for a quiz next week, the date will be decided on Monday. It will cover the big takeaways listed above (more on this in class).
Latin 1H (Period 4): Today, we took our quiz and started thinking about how languages spread across the world. Next week, we will study how Latin spread and came into our language of English. Homework: Make sure to read the packet that I gave to you after the quiz today.
Latin 1H (Period 6): We did not meet today. You should be studying for the quiz on MONDAY.
Latin 1H (Period 7): We did not meet today. You should be studying for the quiz on MONDAY.
